Make sure you have signed up in the meet notebook for your child's participation in Saturday's meet! 

June 21 -- OHAC at Travis Pointe: warm-up 8:00 AM; meet 9:00 AM

June 28 -- Forestbrooke at OHAC: warm-up 8:00 AM; meet 9:00 AM

July 5 -- Chippewa at OHAC: warm-up 8:00 AM; meet 9:00 AM

Directions to Chapel Hill Pool:  From Plymouth Rd., head north on Green Rd. for .25 mile.  Turn right on Burbank Dr. into the Chapel Hill condominiums.  Please observe parking signs/rules.  You may park in any unnumbered parking spot, on the right (east) side of Burbank or on both sides of Bolgos Circle.   

July 12 -- OHAC at Liberty A.C.: warm-up 8:00 AM; meet 9:00 AM

July 19 -- OHAC at Georgetown: warm-up 8:00 AM; meet 9:00 AM

July 21-24 -- WISC Championships: Mon -- 13 thru 17; Tue -- 9 & 10; Wed -- 8 & under; Thu -- 11 & 12

Thursday, July 24 -- End of the season party and awards ceremony at OHAC

Update for the week of 6/30/08:  Normal practices at Dolphin Monday-Thursday.  No practices on Friday, July 4th.

We have a dive meet at Chippewa on TUESDAY, July 1 (4pm warm-up/5pm meet).  Chippewa is at 2525 Golfside, just north of Washtenaw Ave.

We are excited to have Jillian Platko as our new Dive Team head coach. Jillian has extensive dive experience and has coached for the summer diving league in her home town in Pennsylvania. In addition, OHAC’s own Meghan Woods will be assistant dive coach this summer. We look forward to a great dive season with them!

Participation is optional but encouraged. Trophies are awarded to divers who have participated in at least one meet. Participation in at least 2 meets is necessary to dive at Championships, July 21-24.

*Technically, these are our home meets. They will be held at our opponenet's pool but we will be required to staff them.

MEET STAFFING

Dive families can sign up for a limited number of dive meet jobs, as one of their two required swim meet jobs. A sign up board will be available in the Dolfin Pool lobby.

Orchard Hills Athletic Club (2300 Yorktown) sponsors a Synchronized Swimming program in the summer. When school is out, it starts with a two week session of lessons to teach synchronized swimming skills (all levels). After a one week break, they start a month long session of preparation for a synchronized swimming show presented in August.

The show will have music and simple costumes to reflect a theme selected each year. Our members and anyone who wants to attend are invited to the show. For a modest fee, you can take the lessons and/or participate in the show without being a club member. The program is a good way to practice your synchro skills over the summer and have fun with friends while doing it.

• Lesson session $35 (pay fee before session begins)
• Show prep and participation $40 (pay fee before session begins)
